II. Research Methodologies School

Research Worldwide Istanbul, Raoul Wallenberg Institute - Lund University, and  Istanbul Bilgi University Center for Migration Studies organized a “Research Methodologies School” for the second consecutive year in Istanbul on 1-3 November 2019. In the three-day school, students who work on areas of interest to the Institute (refugee studies, children’s rights, gender, the right to health and environment, aging studies, and climate change) were offered concentrated lectures on the basic paradigms and methodological approaches in the social sciences and familiarized themselves with the different tools available in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Approximately 20 graduate students from various departments of the Institute’s partner universities got a chance to participate (after a very rigorous selection process) in the method school and present and receive feedback on their theses.
